Indoor Confidence: Staying Motivated When Blogging

Necklace- Topshop | Shirt(similar)- Bershka | Jeans- Topshop | Mules- Zara

I really wanted to post this super simple style but two things happened: the weather wasn't great and to be honest i lost the confidence to shoot outside/shoot in general. This is something that happened on my long abandoned blog, if i stare at my pictures for too long a lot like if you say a word too many times it feels empty and meaningless.

I have to kick myself up the backside and say actually you knew exactly what you meant and how you felt when you styled this. It's a tailored, smart casual style- a real bit of me. It's put together in such an effortless fashion that we can all recreate. I've wanted a pair of mules since last year and pleased to see them picking up speed again. I know i surely am not the only blogger that finds themselves losing steam and confidence to blog but if it means going back to 2010 and posing in my bedroom or around the flat with just the natural lighting where i feel comfortable then that's just what i'll do but giving up this time is not an option.

Myself and perhaps yourself wants to show a creative side, use blogging as an outlet and there is always reason to why you decided 'this is what i want to write, this is what i want to wear and this is what i want to show!' so get comfy, go to mum and dad's back garden where no one is watching or do the opposite and pose in piccadilly circus (you'll have more than one camera on you that's for sure!) just remember why you wanted to do it in the first place: for yourself, for your readers, or to simply share.

I hope you enjoyed this post x

Cheap Frills

Top-Asos | Shorts- Zara | Wedges- Stuart Weitzman | Bag- Russell & Bromley

Way back when we had some sun (i hope that wasn't our summer!) i made the most of it by getting my legs out- I always do for the fomo. I definitely prefer and feel i know how to better dress, in spring and summer. When i came across this blouse i was instantly reminded of the pastels and frills from Chloe but it's a steal from Asos. The frills and high neck with a keyhole on the chest give me femininity and high class.

I need to grab some stone or white coloured shorts for the summer but in the meantime I wore my high waisted Zara shorts matched with my (unseen) black cat eye sunglasses. Continuing the spring flair with an upper class British style i wore my SW wedges- these are the comfiest heels i own for sure and they team well with my old Russell and Bromley paris shopper.

Have you nabbed any designer dupes lately?

A Denim Dream

Jacket (perhaps not online, similar here)- Zara | Top- Asos | Heels- Littlemistress | Sunglasses- Quay

If i had to describe my style it would be soft tailoring, classic but with a sports lux edge and every so often I like to bring that out. This denim jacket caught my eye (and my bank card) the moment i saw it. Over sized and distressed in the perfect blue wash it is my 90's dream and such a statement piece. I paired it with this off the shoulder black top with black leggings giving you 60's Sandy and 2016 Rihanna.

Zara has some amazing blue tones, statement and denim pieces this season, and another draw to this jacket is it has scribbles and notes all around it which I love. It's out of the ordinary and a take on the badges and appliqué we've seen.

I've recently bought these tri-coloured block heels from littlemistress with lace detailing, that I find so simple yet so effective for all outfits. The neutrals don't take away from anything and yet the style adds to the outfit. The sun is back for a little while and I've found this light outfit works well, I tend to carry a coin purse or clutch when I don't want anything heavy.

Have any jackets caught your eye this season?

A Smooth Transition

Jacket- New Look | Top- Zara | Bag- Zara | Trousers- Asos | Shoes- Zara | Sunglasses- Topshop

So in April we've had sunshine, rain and even a pinch of snow! I struck lucky one weekend and took some photos of an outfit I've worn to transition into the spring months. I love this bat wing top from Zara, although light in colour and look it's a knitted fabric so keeps me warm along with my pleather trousers.

I'd say ankle boots are a must for traipsing around London; keeping you in style but still comfortable and these high shine boots go so well against the trousers and my bag. My accents were all gold, including these new to die for cat eye sunnies from Topshop. I'm a sunglasses fiend and love the pinched in frames along with the reflective/mirror style that's popular at the moment. Of course I carried my suedette jacket for any strong winds.

You may have noticed there's no floral patterns-yet! but it's just a way for me to come out of the heavier darker colours and fabrics without throwing myself in the deep end

How do you transition to a spring wardrobe? x

A TOUCH OF ICE

Roll Neck- Topshop/Leggings-Topshop/Jacket-River Island/Boots-River Island/Bag-Vivienne Westwood(new)/Ring-Regal Rose

It feels really good to put up a fashion post again. I haven't done so since 2011 on my old fashion blog- which is still floating around the internet (let me know if you find it!)

I took my first trip to Bicester Village, a designer outlet shopping parade. Myself and Alex just fancied a trip out the house and since I'd heard of it I thought I'd give it a peek. That peek turned into a purchase and I got my hands on the aptly named 'Hollywood' bag by Vivienne Westwood- it's a real standout.

Feeling french on this bright spring day I paired it with a light all black outfit, the boots are a suede mid heel with a squared toe suited to the 70's trend. This bag is in white grain leather with silver hardware and if you saw the lining- ooh!

Much like a black bag, i think a white bag is an essential. It can seem scary, but a white bag with an all black outfit just adds that punch. I think it will be great paired with a powder blue shirt or dress also. This is for sure my summer item and even though this is from a couple of seasons ago, I've noticed on the high street white crossbody bags are making a comeback- Get in!
